In EverQuest II, Guilds are something more than only a random collection of players with the same tag hanging over their heads. Instead, a guild has a more concrete role in the society entirely based on the actions of its members. The reputation that is gained or lost due to the guild that a player is part of is something that is just as important as the individual development of the player's character. In EQ 2, Guilds prestige acts pretty much like it does in the original EverQuest, but with an additional political element. When a player establishes a guild, it requires him or her to register with whichever city the guild leader is live in. Normally, each guild will be competing against all other guilds in order to raise its prominence or fame within its city. The guilds that gain the highest standings will receive benefits for as long as they continue to keep up their standing. |
