In Everquest 2, Gold is what you use as your common currency unit in the vast world of Norrath. While the base denomination is bronze, and there is also silver, most trade and exchanges in the game are done in gold.
Even with platinum around abundantly, it is EQ 2 gold that influences and dominates trade. The fastest and most effective way to attain gold in Everquest 2 are described in the EQ2 gold guide.
Normally the best way to get gold is to farm it - either keep doing lucrative professions or repeatedly keep killing monsters that give good gold for the amount of time required to slay them
